Now that my great summer vacation adventure is in the books, I need "Car guy stuff" to do the rest of the summer.

At least twice a week.

I prefer cruise nights to all day shows, by a long shot.

For this weekend, I need some stuff, and hopefully some fellow firstgens friends to hook up with.
Royce "Camaroman7d" oh "He of the BADass Buick" is in town, and we need some stuff to do.

I've been out of the damned loop with this vacation, jeep, and rv stuff for so long I'm gonna need your help. Regulars for me would be dairy hut in oswego, doggy diner in auroira, there's one on rt31 in north aurora, one in st charles...

And then plainfield, downers, and lemont...

But I'm lost on the dates and don't have time to research.

So where r we this?

Sorry Jim can't help you much there as most of the ones I know about or go to are all around here.

I believe Doggie Diner is the first, the third and the fifth Saturdays of the month. I'm not sure that A&W is still doing them in North Aurora, I haven't seen it on their sign and I drive by there a few times a month. If they were doing them the did the 2nd and fourth Saturday.

BUT FORGET ALL THAT AND GO TO OSWEGO DRAG STRIP DAYS AT MASON SQUARE SHOPPING CENTER ON SATURDAY THE 31ST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then on Sunday go to the Al Thompson Memorial show at the Best Western in Sandwich.

Every Staurday night in the Sears Essentials lot at 159th & Bell Road in Homer Glen. It's supposed to be 6-9. By 6 the place is jammed. A LOT of cars, 50-50 raffles & good people. Hosted by the Lemont Classic Car Club. Everything shows up, classic 40's & 50's, muscle cars, modern muscle, weird stuff too. I give it a big I'll be there if even one other member wants to go, I need to play.

I think Jim , Ross and I will be at that Oswego show. It's a once a year deal usually with a bunch of memorabilia from the days of Oswego dragstrip. If you want to make the drive out here I think it would be worth it. Remember I'm just a short hop from the tollway (88)and you're always welcome to drop in here on the way. There are shorter ways to get to Oswego but probably none faster.

You could have him change the oil and do some preventive maintenance on your vehciles while he is there.........that;s car guy stuff in my book!!
