...turns out my car came with them originally. My question is did these things come on certain models? Or, were they put on random vehicles or people who ordered them? Just trying to figure out, as much as i can, what originally came with this car. I found this out by taking my mini da sander to a couple cracks that turned out to be bondo. The holes for the louvers were covered by it.

By the way, miss coming on here and all of you guys. Been busy and dealing with life so the 69 has been on the back burner for quite sometime now.

Thank you for the info, interesting.

I wonder if i wet sand the primer that was sprayed over the original paint, would i be able to see stripes, of some kind, on the fenders. The previous owner said he got the car already primered over the original paint.

I was able to see the original pinstripes on mine while sanding. They "show up" on my tag as X11. Not sure if a SS tag would prove sport striping or not. The sport striping overrules the pin stripes.

Mine is a VN (Van Nuys Plant) car. I have decoded the cowl tag and it gives the basic info. Nothing as far as stripes and so on.
