Try a different gascap?
Mines been on as long as I've had the car, and it's upside down. Not quite as annoying as crooked, but annoying nonetheless.
I emailed the ebay seller about the issue and he supposedly called Classic. They, of course, claim it's a problem with the car. "It must have an aftermarket filler neck that isn't made correctly". The filler neck is original. I've had this problem with Classic Headquarters with other trim pieces they make that don't fit right but it's never their product....it's always something not right with the car.

They did not offer to send a replacement to see if it would correct the problem nor did the seller. He did offer a refund if I want to send it back......on my dime of course. I would be out $18.00 in shipping for a $35.00 refund. Doesn't make any sense to do that. I will most likely drill out the rivets on the back and reposition the cap on the lock tabs.
