What advice do you all have for getting a nice shine on a black car?
And bringing it somewhere is not a valid suggestion.

Suggestions on which products would also be helpful.

Assume a variable speed buffer is the weapon of choice.

I'd go to my local auto paint store and see wnat they recomend. I've done it in the past with 3M products and finished with something like Ebony but that's old sckool. 3M makes a swirl remover for dark cars now that's pretty good. You have to be real careful on the edges, they buff through in a hurry.

I would be using Meguires and do/use exactly what they recomend on their web site.

I would call Bill at Route 66 Motorsports , we just had that open house there and they have the complete line of car care line. I know he would give some great advise and could recommend the right product. 815- 462 - 0090 www.rt66wax.com

I start by using 3M Finesse III and washed/dried cotton T-shirts, wax on, wax off while wet.
Then I use Meguiars Cleaner/Wax using a new washed terry towel and wipe off the haze front to back.
Polish until image is sharp.
