The quarter panels were in pretty bad condition. The car is now at LaBrecque Autocraft. It will get the quarter panels and floor panels replaced and then the car will be repainted.

The old panels were made up of 3 or 4 pieces and the bottom was held to the wheel wells with seam sealer.

I've heard of people using seam sealer for floorboards and stuff that no one will see, but not quarters. Keep posting the progress.

Some people think I'm out of my mind, but in my defense it's pretty scary in there!

Well I guess it's too late to make a "how to replace rear quarters" video form this one. Do you have a picture of the roof to quarter seam with the old quarter off? (like the one posted but more close up)

Thanks for the encouragement guys!!!

The only other pic I have is this one from before the quarter came off.

I will get a close-up "quarter off" pic next time I am at the shop.

Thanks. I'm interested in seeing how they took the old out and how they will put the new back. The original quarter is under the roof, I want to see if the took it all out from under that. I would also like to know how the quarter meets the drip gutter. Any pictures you can get would be appreciated.

Thanks a bunch for the update. The first two pics showed me what I needed. The rest just make me jealous. I wish I could get mine to the point yours is now.

I found a 1969 song that explains exactly how I feel about my 1969 car so I started working on a video for it (speakers required)…
