67 RS/SS Console car. Hurst 3914339 shifter and 3734529 install kit correct for 67 muncie with shafts. I put the trans in today and the 3-4 gear rod is hitting the floor and the side of the tunnel. And, because of this, the holes in the trans mount and crossmemeber to frame won't line up. The trans needs to move over about 1/4-3/8" toward driver side but can because rod is hitting the floor. I have attached some photos. Anyone got advice?? Thanks!

Ouch. Studied your pics, and compared them to a couple of mine...
The only thing I see that doesn't look right is the angle of the shifter, it is angled sharply forward, where mine was straight up and down.

The rods look exactly correct.

Thanks Jim. I knew about that but didnt think the angle would make much difference. I am gonna change it and see what happens. The prior owner half asses replaced the floor pans so im sure that has something to do with it too. Hopefully not. dont wanna take the trans off again a 3rd time!

Does the console still fit?

When they welded the pans in they must have formed the existing floor out some to meet the contour of the new repop pans, and did a crappy weld job. Console fits.

Next is drivers side header and MSD box
