Looking for pictures of Autoshift on the floor first gens with out the console.

What have used, or seen that you have picture of. I have a 67 and I thinking of using a 67 floor shifter and a 4 speed boot. Would really like to see a 67 stock autoshift with no console pics and see the part used for the indicator if anyone has them. I hate to say it but a Mustang non console autoshift indicator cover looks like it might work over the stock 67 floor shift. Not to worry I have guy that can make me a console/shifter cover from stainless just using the Mustang one as what I might be looking to do.

Mustang shifter cover for non console auto on the floor.

There are some other shifters out there from Shift works that look to be possible choices. I have also looked at the B&M unimatic but with a round ball.

Anyone used one of these?

Waaaayyyy back in the day, I used a Hurst Shifter in an automatic 67 without a console.
I "think" it was called an "Indy" shifter? But could be wrong.
It was a stick with a rearward bend, and a superboot screwed to the floor.

It looked exactly like a 4 speed shifter.

Would it have been close to the B&M shifter (the first one in my post) ? Do you recall how it fit and looked. I am thinking the speed look this would be something I like but I am not sure of the mounting provides would be nice or if the handle would look good. I don't want the "T-HANDLE" but then again it has retro look.

Found what you were speaking of Hurst Indy Matic 1. It's no longer made and when the merger between Hurst and B&M was done the shifter became the B&M unimatic shifter.

I think I might buy one after looking around....get it from Summit so I can return it if needed.

Bought the Unimatic.

After looking I found that this replaced the Hurst Indy Matic 1. I ike the looks of the Indy Matic over the B&M.....but you can't buy one. Found one on E-bay but was too much for used shifter.

I think I can have a nice stainless boot retainer made for it.
Say good by to that tee handle also!!

Yup, that looks similar to the one I had way back then.
