I want to use the Lokar go throttle peddel and cables. I see the peddel listed in Summit but what cable do I use? I also have a turbo 350 trans and need the kick down for it also. I like the custom set ups they have but what parts do I order? Anyone using this stuff? Anyone have pictures of brakets etc intalled? Where does the cable come trough the firewall? How is it sealed? Pictures of brackets installed on carb would be nice also.

I don't want the braided cables I want to use the black colored ones, I plan to use the black peddel they have coem out with.

Basicly any sort of details on this stuff would be nice, I have never seen an install in person.

Thanks
Joe

Hey Joe...I have a Lokar setup and love it. Its on a manual tranny so I dont have any pics that would help you as far as kick down cable. I can take pics of everything else tonight if you'd like. It works great and gave me the full throttle I wasnt getting with my modded mechanical linkage. I put thepedal and cable in with the engine in the car. Wasnt bad like I was told...but having a home lift in the garage is a big help. I called Lokar and spoke to one of the guys there and he told me exactly what cable and brackets I needed.

Yes please post some pictures. Did you use the stock style cable mounting if that even avaiable or did you go with there custom set up? What was the total cost of everything when you were finished?
I am using one of the new Summit carbs, might be a little while before it running but this is part I need to get and I have a $20.00 certificate with summit right now. I was going to call them but figured what the heck lets put it here to start some info flying a little!!

I have a Lokar throttle pedal and cable assembly installed on a Turbo 400. I know you have the Turbo 350 but the mounting brackets and throttle cable assembly should be similiar. If needed, I can also provide pics of the bracketry and cable assembly mounting points.

Joe I dont remember what it cost but it was a few bux with the pedal. There are cheaper ways to go if you want to piece it together. Cable pedals were available in the 6cyl camaros and novas. I didnt feel like digging for novas in a junk yard to get the pedal so Lokar was the answer for me. My cable was the universal one if i remember correctly. It had to be cut to size and was easy to do. The bracket on the carb has a spot to hook up a kickdown cable like David just confirmed so its probably the one you want. Call Lokar if you go that route and they will give you part #'s and make sure you setup correctly. Good luck!

Great shots!! Did you have to drill the firewall for the cable? I guess yes and i know about the 6 cyl one but don't like the looks of that big cable. I really like how this lokar setup looks.

If anyone has kickdown pictures post em please. I would like to see how that is done. I would like to use the kickdown that mounts like the throttle above does and not like the factory one. I know Lokar makes a kickdown that mounts like a factory one on the intake and uses bascily what apprears to be a factory kick down. I am sure it's not the only one right? I see the lokar stuff in catalogs but would like to see installed pics if possible.

Yes you have to drill the firewall and do some cutting to size for the cable length.

I know you asked for installation pics but here is some info from the Lokar website that you might be able find useful...........or you could call Lokar's Tech Line at 1-877-469-7440
