A friend of mine recently purchased a muncie super case and tail housing with the steel mid plate I believe. He is concerned that the super case being a little more than 1/8" thicker where the transmission mounts to the bellhousing will cause some clearance issues. Does anyone have any experience with this or any information?

What problem with being thicker there . Why would there be clearance issues . You may need bolts a bit longer...buy they should still be fine.
Mark.

I don't think there would be any problems either but just thought I would post to check what other's thought or if anyone had any experience with it. The shifter is adjustable so I would guess it would still clear the shift tunnel and console.

I put an Autogear M22W in my '69. I had to cut the back of the hole in the floor out about 3/4 of an inch. And move the center console back about that much so that the shifter would not hit the console while shifting.

No big problem,
