I spent a while searching the web for loops for my '69. I found:
http://autofabcart.net/afrc-removabledr ... 4nova.aspx

http://www.metcomotorsports.com/proddet ... 00&cat=113

and
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1967-68- ... ccessories

I can get an older lakewood floor mounted loop reasonable, but I'll need to bend/shape the L shaped braces like the Metco one above. The Autofab one looks nice but pricey, and the ebay one says it's an OER #H10067 but there is not much info, I wonder how well it would fit. I've seen some for the TH350/400 that bolted to the trans, anybody see that done with a 200R4? So what are you using? If you fabbed one a pic would be cool.

Some people think I'm out of my mind, but in my defense it's pretty scary in there!

I made my own quite a few yrs ago now. Although I think I saw someone post something similar to what I have that was marketed for Firebirds, and I think it was from Year One or Rick's.

FYI mine is under my 200-4R
Also don't mind the fact that it looks like the drive shaft drags on the bottom of the loop the rear suspension was at full droop with the car up on stands when I took the pic.

I think I'get that generis lakewood one and modify it like Harley's. I would be a bit concerned about letting the rear hang and hitting the loop. If it bends (or dents) the shaft it might set up a vibration. Just my .02!

It barely touches it at, and most times there's still an 1/8" of space if it's cold.

I used the lakewood one and did alot of cutting and welding. Dont use the bolts to hold it together weld it the bolts are too close to the shaft and didnt want to scar up my aluminum shaft.
