really need to drill down to the company that is making and selling them.

Mine is a 3" alluminum made by an outfit in michigan that was recommended to me. I don't think it was terribly expensive, it's perfectly balanced, and has thousands of miles and a hundred 12 second passes on it without so much as a thought.
