Not sure at what piont u are at here Remove calapar from the car. Use the air gun in the fliud port to pressue behid the piston....and get your hand well out of the way otherwise u WILL loose your fingers....and the piston pops out Clean out, check surfaces are not corroded...and yes the replacement ceramic pistons are fine. Make sure the piston O ring is on the correct way....look close at it, it is not square cross section...one end is higher...this edge goes to the pad side..... unlike drums there are no springs to pull thr pads back....and in caplars the piston movement is tiny....the piston moves forward and clamps the disc...the O ring sort of twists a lttle, and when the pressue is realesed the O ring untwists ans moves the piston back.
Smear all surfaces , O rinf seals etc preferble with special brake copper grease before and as assmbling....it dont have any brake fuild but dont leave for a few days or so before bleeding etc....if going to be a while...get a tube of brake grease.
Clean up the mounting bolts, replace the O rings in there, check the sider tubes for wear and clean.....and apply brake grease to these to. Slip the pads in...bit of brake gease behind them and the thin plates behind the pads rea assmble.
Sometimes it is hard to get the piston to seat back in the calipar....a G clamp with a bit of wood between the 2 to spread the clamping pressure evenly.
