Good morning James, and welcome to firstgens!

I'm going to move your thread from site discussion, where we talk about issues with the website software itself, into the electrical section.

On 68 (and also 67) Camaros, any problems like this are often related to the infamous "cluster ground."
There are a pair of metal straps, first runs from the cluster to the high beam indicator socket, second from that socket to the top center screw on the cluster.

This whole arrangment is a bit of a "cluster-@uck" and prone to problems. Make sure you are getting a good ground. You won't if the cluster is not installed, if the center screw is missing, if there is too much fresh paint on the dash, or if the high beam socket is not assembled in the correct order (red lens first, then the 2 straps, then the socket)

Without a ground, various things that need it will "backfeed" and act wierd.
If things act different with the headlights on than with them off, you probably have a ground problem.

Things that rely on this ground include:
Turn indicator lights
Dash illumination lamps
Gas gauge (or tach)
high beam indicator

how do you test cluster to see if you have a good ground or not, turn signals have always flashed on the
inside for the last 27 years but car set in my garage for about the last 5 years.
I first noticed the gas gauge not reading right, then later the signals wouldn,t flash on the inside of inturment
panel, finally got the right side to work but the next day i pulled the bulb by mistake and when i put it back
in it wouldn,t work, tested the bulb and its good.
also will any of the other bulbs work in the signal space are all the bulbs the same and its the cluster that
makes them blink,

The gas gauge not working either is your for sure clue to a bad ground.

Try this... Rig a 2 foot peice of wire with a terminal on one end. Reach up there, loosen one of the 1/4" screws off the back of the cluster, slip the terminal under and tighten it down.

Then attach the other end of the wire to the dash metal structure.

Bet everything lights up fine.

Did it work?
I have gas guage, low fuel indicator, brake warning light. No dash illumination, courtesy or dome lights, no turns, no tails, and no parks. Blowing fuse at turn/stop lamp bottom fuse. 67 with gauges. Im gonna look for this ground on the cluster. Saw it used at Heartbeat city for freakin $50!! LOL Bastards!

If you are blowing a fuse, then that circuit is shorted to ground.
Troubleshoot by isolating stuff. Unplug all the sockets, take the bulbs out and let em hang. Unplug the rear body harness in the drivers side kick panel. Once the fuse doesn't blow, start hooking stuff back up.

Yea I planned on doing that next, after I install the ground for the cluster. Just installed 2 ground straps last night. Body to engine, and body to frame. Couldnt figure out where engine to frame goes. Next is to clean off paint off all grounding points and reinstall.
