67 SB, long water pump, tall valve covers, headers, post 69 heads with accessory holes.
Can I mount my alt on the driver's side? Using what brackets? I have searched around and found that pre 69's had short water pumps with driver's side alt. 69 and later have long water pumps with passenger side alt.
Looking for less expensinve brackets like Spectre or Mr. Gasket, not Alan Grove or the Corvette C3 mounts.

Thanks in advance!

Ahhhhh, I can fix you right up!.

In 69, across the board, Chevy went to a long water pump and pass side alternator.
With one exception. Thirdgen Corvettes stayed with the short water pump and drivers side alternator, all the way through 1982.

They used a bracket that bolts to the front of the head (accessory boltholes) and it all lines up perfect with 67-68 Camaro pulleys.

When I got mine, Chevy still had them. Also, the Corvette Repro houses all have them. They are cheap.
This setup is WAY better than those cheap brackets you get with your headers.

all drivers side alternators setups use the short water pump, so yes, you'll have to change back if you go with this bracket.
Ecklers has it here http://www.ecklerscorvette.com/corvette ... -1982.html

Alternatives would be to use 69 brackets and move the alternator to the drivers side, or use fatermarket stuff.

Chevy never made a short water pump pass side alt bracket, and they never made a long water pump drivers side bracket.

Also the pulleys are all different.

$139? WOW. May be cheaper to just get a short water pump and call it a day! LOL

Thanks Jim!
