OK,
I could not stand it anymore seeing this subject without a post. So...I have a unmolested 325 hp 68 396 and a 68 mall block punched to a 383.

What is the partial vin on your 68 396? I know a Camaro missing it's born with 396.

388 stamped small block with camel hump heads destined to be replaced, that's about all I know :lol:

lmap... original born with matching number 327-275 L30 block.
Only original part left, now it's an afr headed roller cammed injected 373 stroker!!!

I know the car it came out of and its never going to be restored. Its been crushed and shredded....trim tag and all.
