Great food, good friends, big fire, cold beer and a speeding ticket on the way home. It just doesn't get any better than this!

22 miles over, signature bond (I got to keep my license) and supervision availble with out going to court. $140 fine (would have been $20 less if I had slowed down 2 MPH)

Some people think I'm out of my mind, but in my defense it's pretty scary in there!

Ouch! Sorry to hear that Jeff. I guess there is something to be said for using sticking to the GPS time vs using "Jeff Time". Nice shot of the fire, one of the better ones we have had this year.

Thx to all of you guys that made it out last night........Jeff & Barb, Don & Chris, Steve and Jim. As usual it was great to get together with my Camaro friends and their spouses and I look forward to our November gathering at Hooters. Dale was supposed to joiin us but he never made it, I hope is isn't out there lost still driving around looking for us. Maybe next time

Kudos to Barb for making the awesome chili and cashew brittle, they were both big hits with everyone. The chili was so good that seconds were warranted.

Steve rolled out the 68' and drove it down from Schaumburg. Jim had his ragtop as usual, hope you didn't have any issues on the way home with your tails out Jim!

Jeff brought the FirstGens banner with so we put it up on display over the garage door. Did anyone take a picture of it hanging there? Jeff?

Have a great Sunday everyone. Looks pretty nice out there so far, I may roll the Z out and take it for a morning spin :3gears:

I didn't take a pic of the banner, it slipped my mind.

I've driven 355 from that neck of the woods many times and never had any issues. I forgot that most times I've don it were week days. I think I should have asked for a reduction of 2 MPH to save $20 but didn't think about it until he was back in the squad writing. Next time I be using the cruise control!

If you take the Z out and want a destination. I'm here and in the garage.

Morning guys!!!

Yup, a good time for sure. Carol decided not to join me at the last minute, she's trying to finish up a bunch of work as the high school senior photo season winds down.

So I got to take the very, but lost my designated driver.

When I got in the vert to leave, I didn't have any dash lights. A few minutes later Tom calls to tell me I don't have any tail light either  So I pull off and check the fuses but none are vlown. Pull back out and within half a block everything lights back up all by itself! :hurray: Other than that, an uneventful drive home.

Here's a bonfire pic off my phone
