Royce and I attended this show today, and a fine show it was. Racing all day under a blistering midwest sun. Track was a lil greasy from the heat, but the racing was still great, and the organization did a fine job. Amazingly, only 1 cleanup needed all day, it was at the top end and only took a few minutes.

On todays program was a street bracket race, and index classes at 10.50, 9.55, and 8.50. We also had an fabulous 8 car Pro Mod field. These top doorslammers included 3 cars we saw at Vegas last year. One, a twin turbo 62 chevy, took the top spot.

Of course here in the midwest, there is always a little show in the show. There was a stretched atv with a jet engine. The phsycotic pilot STRADLED the jet and controlled it with the original handlebars! This thing ran 9.99@157mph. so it was moving right along.

We had a wheelstander doing full 1/4 passes on the rear bumper.

A pair of jet dragsters running side by side 300 mph passes.
And if that wasn't enough, this HUGE Peterbuilt truck with no less than THREE giant jet engines.

Great pictures for a camera phone Jim, how many megapixels on that thing?

megapixels? I dunno, 8 or 10 maybe?
The pics are 2048 by 1216, around 500k off the camera.
It does a really nice video, but it's slow to respond taking pics.
I'd have taken a lot more if I'd remembered the darned real camera.
