I had to do Byron Saturday only, work stuff needs doing Sunday, So I didn't see much in the way of wheelie action, just a few practice runs.
I did meet up with Royce, we had a great day, and a good mexican dinner later. The best part of this hobby is the friends you make!
They had a FINE drag racing show going on. The Chicago super Stock Mafia was out in force, some dozen plus 8.50 crowdpleasers doing 3 foot wheelstands off the line. Nice show by the topdawgz pro mod gang too, with some awesome runs. And sme group I didn't catch layed down some six second @ 200 plus runs.

Gallery of the pics I took is here http://www.firstgens.com/picture-galler ... day-1.html

You guys that are there today (Royce, Harley, Jeff, &?) add to this thread, and put up your own galleries with the pics you took. Royce took a bunch of vids yesterday, would like to see some of them as well.

Yup great day today. The weather was nicer (warmer) sun was out. The wheelstanders where cool, but for me the real action was the final rounds for all the race classes. Some nice wheelies there to, and from guys trying to go fast not just flip the car. The Gremlin won again. Now granted he had a real nice wheel-stand but it's also a purpose built car and there were some others as nice that won the other prizes (without having purpose built cars). The camera is dead, and I will have a ton of pics to sort though so I'll post some pics tomorrow. Oh almost forgot also got to hang out with cool friends as well. Including a real life celebrity. ( Royce ) Who got the royal treatment all afternoon, and had more friends there than anyone I've met, and he probably never met any of them before this weekend. :clink:

Yes it is, and you'd think it would flip on a dime, but the best he could do was 4-6"s of air under the front after 4 attempts.
