Hey guys it was a great show despite the weather. Friday the weather was gorgeous, and a pretty good turn out for the show and autocross. The auto cross was fun to watch. Jim and I both wish we had our cars there. We both wanted to run the autocross. The drags on Friday night where just awesome, and had just an increadable turn out. The weather was perfect. The track prep for the qualifying rounds seemed suspect for any cars 8 sec. or faster. And there where 2 long down periods for track clean-up, but once the finals started around 7:40 they moved things along pretty quick. There was plenty of action to see lots of great looking cars in the pits and some super fast sick cars on the track. For a short one night event there was definitely no shortage of fast cars. Jim and I kept saying to each other we were almost tripping over 8, 9, and 10 sec. street cars. In fact I think there were more 8-10 sec cars than there were 11-30 sec cars. Some drove from 2000 miles away. Yea allot were trailered, but many drove there. There were even a few 5 sec passes from the Chicago Wiseguys. Saturday the weather wasn't all to cooperative. It nice in the morning, but by 12 it started raining. Until that point there was some more great action on the auto cross and lots more show cars to look at and cool guys to talk to. Even after the rain let up there were still a ton of cars there as you'll see from the pics. The canopy didn't fair to well in the storm so we took the banner on the road with us. I left Saturday evening after hangin out with Jim and Darrin for awhile , and Jim headed off to the demo derby's. I don't know how Sunday went as I wasn't around for that, but I'm sure Jim will be filling us in soon. I'll post some teaser pics here in the thread, but a majority of them will be posted in the picture gallery's.

Jim brought the party bus and he camped out for weekend. It was a nice quiet little place right across the street from the track. Far enough you didn't want to walk, but close enough to only be a 2 min drive door to door.(and away from the main traffic) :hurray:

As you can see Jim party's in style. :beers:

Good times, good times! Despite the weather, we still had fun. Thanks Jim and Harley for the burgers and margaritas. And yes, Jim's margaritas are THE BEST!

Well the Camaro Gallery is up. :hurray:

I tried to be selective so I only have about 50 posted.
I have everything sorted into groups so hopefully going through the rest won't take as long, but it still may be a few days yet.

Nice pictures Harley! I would love to know what is under that 12" cowl hood of the blue second gen, must be an absolute monster of a powerplant!

Sorry we missed you guys. Work managed to interfere yet again.
I did get to meet up as a surprise with Jim Saturday night at the Tournament of Destruction.
And after the show took a tour of the party bus. Unfortunately for me there were no Margaritas left. :noway: So we stuck with the traditional Beers... :beers:

I did go back sunday with a friend of mine and his son and toured the GG show. No where NEAR as many vendors as the last 3 years. Less than 1/2, and 1/4 of the cars. But cool anyway.
I managed to talk the ears off of the crew over at Detroit Speed about some ideas etc. Even got Stacy Tucker, a sales rep, and one of the lead Engineers in on my conversation. Kyle would have been in there too, but he was away on the run through the hills event.
Also managed to get some ideas along the way which is what I go there for mostly.
And I picked up some tools I have been needing. And loads of reading material.

Nice pics Harley! I like the '69 ragtop with the banner pic. How did the guy with the big(read huge) and little's do on the autocross?

Some people think I'm out of my mind, but in my defense it's pretty scary in there!
