I have a beater Cavalier (91) I bought that my son will be driving. When it rains hard the pass side floorboard carpet gets soaked, as does the carpet leading up to the heating/cooling ducts. I removed the wipers, cowl and airbox, and cleaned a bunch of mud from the lowest point in the airbox and siliconed some suspect seams. Well after yesterdays deluge I looked this morning and the carpet is soaked again. I'm thinking about taking a hose and having someone sit in the car to see if we can find the leak. Anyone have experience with this? Any Ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Some people think I'm out of my mind, but in my defense it's pretty scary in there!

Yes sir there is a tube under the dash that is stopped up. I don't know right where on that car but it comes in around the heater box. Look under there and clean it out when yu find it. It's a drain tube for condensation in the heater box. I use a coat hanger that I straighten out to run thru them.

Could it be the door weatherstrip?
