What is your thoughts on the weld in fuel pump system offered by Aeromotive? (or other if they are out there) Using the A1000 stealth kit.
They have a sump you weld into the front of the fuel tank.
I remember seeing a "prototype" setup at a drag expo a few years back but can't remember the details.
I looked around on their site and didn't see detail photos of how the system works.
I know the filter and pump are in the weld in well. And there is a large AN fitting next to it. But is the "well" dry or full of fuel? Where is the pickup? Where is the return?
And if you went with an aftermarket steel tank, and weld it, how do you suppose you would "seal" the new welds from rusting up quickly. Because I don't see the option of a stainless option to go with a stainless tank.

I got a unit from Tank inc. that had a sump and pump. I modified a new stock tank with a sump for the pump pickup. It needed a new roof as well for the pump fixture and fuel gauge sender.

It required a lot of patching before all leaks were sealed.
