I know this is not Camaro related but I am in need of some assistance. I recently had my truck worked on here in Honduras and the shop removed the Catalytic converter and now the SES light is on all of the time. Is there some software I can buy to plug into the truck and disable the CAT and O2 sensors, and maybe a little tuning? There are no emissions laws here that I am aware of.

There are "dummy o2 sensors" you can buy that send the "all is well signal" to the computer.

That sounds great. I assume I would need two of them. I will be back in Kentucky in a couple of weeks, where can I pick these up?

Yup, Don's on it.

ODBII cars (96 up) have an O2 before and after the cat, the after is the one you need the dummy for.

http://www.o2simulator.com/index.php?ma ... _uploads=0 best I could find as the name means to match perfectly on a search. I tried bypass, simulator, etc. maybe offroad or such would work or perhaps thay are illegal now?

I searched and found some discussion about it and a possible website. There was one I found that said that using 2 anti foulers for the sparkplugs to get the o2 sensor away from the exhaust works too. Thread the o2 sensor into the anti foulers. I don't know.

The engine needs the o2 sensor upstream of the converter, that's the one the computer uses to determine the air fuel ratio, it has to function.

The one downstream of the converter is only there to tell the computer that the cat is working. Without the cat, that sensor is telling the computer the cat doesn't work, setting the light.
