In the April Hot Rod mag, they take a Vette that they previously hacked everything unnecesary off of (including sheet metal) and installed 2 Craftsman 215 mph 2 cycle leaf blowers as a cheap ass supercharging system :woot: It was worth about 50 HP down low and 24 or so at peak :wall: (from memory, I gave the issue to Tom). I'm sure many think it's "developementaly challenged" but I think it's freakin' awesome  Beg, borrow or steal a copy & check it out. Pretty sano installation.
Fun rules! :beers:

Some people think I'm out of my mind, but in my defense it's pretty scary in there!

I expect to see several of these set ups at the firstgens.com drag outing in 2011. I wonder if you could expect similar gains with a cordless electric model?

Many yrs ago late 70s in the latter part of my boy racer days....and keep in mind our boy racer cars in NZ where British ford corina mk1, zepher mk 1 and 2 and 1000 cc morris minors. (google them and dont laugh too hard)
M8 and I had 62 morris 1000 , yep custom lace paint work, metal flake...like real metal flake in cellose clear laquar..etc
And a heater fan we re wound the armiture and coil windings by hand to give more 'grunt' and dropped on the top of the single barrel (solex from memory ) carb
And yep that thing haul A55*** (for a 1000cc 1962 british morris engine)
Till the engine blew.. literally, everything fell out where the sump WAS....thinking back in retrospect yrs later, it must have been running real lean... timing way the hell out.

OH yeah those where the days...

Aparently those Morris engines weren't very stout. My family had one in my youth long before I could drive. The engine had been replaced/upgraded befor we got it. It was a black convertible with a key to wind it up on the rear deck. I can remember the 6 of us taking it to church sometimes, I sat with one cheek on the front seat and the other leg between the door and the seat on the floor.
