Have had the '68 since God was a kid... so thinkin' about changing the whole look of the Cam.

Ya, it's got a glass-like finish of BN, which to some is a travesty in itself...but, I thinkin' it's time to redo the old girl in a whole new way.

Which way? The way of the surf!

That picture of that first gen Camaro, with the multi colour BB stripes and the surfboard has haunted me for years.. maybe because of my liking of the old Beach Boys music.. the sand, the sun, and the girls.

I think it would be be really neat to bring back that period, in the way of a car, and what better way than immulate that concept Camaro that they advertised, way back when.

Haven't approached the wifey on this intent...not sure how she would go on this one?

Anyways...was hoping to bounce this idea off whoever out there would care to comment on my future intentions. Any suggestions?

Post up a pic for those of us with only a vague memory of those commercials.

Will do, Don...just have to find that photo. That particular concept Camaro looked really cool...I can only imagine how the purists would react in future meets.

I've seen a pic in The Great Camaro Book by Michael Lamb. I thought I had my copy right next to the computer but I can't find it here. If I find it I'll post the scan.
