I've added a new button above to embed you tube videos, this is a test to see if it works.



if it works, you just hit the button, then paste the FULL URL (from your browsers address bar) of the video

So, to make this work...
Display the video and COPY (highlight then control C) the address bar.

Hit the youtube button above, then IMMEDIATELY hit "control V"

Then move your cursor to the end and continue typing if you wish

cool. it works.

So this one will ONLY embed videos from YouTube.

On my list is to accept videos as ATTACHMENTS. This will actually let you upload them from your computer and will host them on the site. I'll let you know when I get it.

ok, well that kinda works....
only video on my computer, sorry, sound's been gone for a long time, don't know where it went, but it's not the site.


anyway, the ability to ATTACH videos has always been here, just turned off.
I turned it on, and assigned a few files types, and it seems to work.

Oddly, when I hit REPLY to this thread, it wanted me to log back in! I don't get that, but if it happens to you, let me know.

The video thing uses software on your computer to play the videos, I tried to assign everything I could to media player. .mov & .qt files are quicktime of course but hopefully we won't see many, or you'll have quicktime installed.

I also enabled flash, but not real player, don't think anyone uses that.

Any issues, particularly with specific filetypes, let me know. It's pretty easy to enter an extension (such as mp4) and program what player to use.
