I've been watching the winter testing at Daytona before I head off to work today. Looks like it could be more interesting this year than the last few seasons. They are running EFI now and sorting out problems with the rev limiter messing up the EFI. They changed the rear spoiler so they can run in packs instead of single file at the fast tracks. The drivers can no longer talk to each other, just the spotters & crew. Danica is now one of Tony's drivers.
Watching them try different things has been pretty interesting

Some people think I'm out of my mind, but in my defense it's pretty scary in there!

Definitely sounds like an interesting year coming up. EFI was inevitable, with all of the technology out there I am sure the manufacturers will solve the interference problem in short order. I like the idea of getting away from the single file racing on the superspeedways, should make the races more interesting to watch. I have been a Tony Stewart fan for as long as I can remember now there will be something good to look at in his stable

Danica will run a limited number of races in the Sprint Cup Series for Smoke and will also run races in the Nationwide Series for Junior......should be very interesting because Danica has shown a great deal of improvement driving stock cars. As far as the EFI, I wonder if NASCAR will randomly assign them at tracks just like they do the ignition systems?????

I'm looking forward to the start of the season. I've been watching some of the live video streaming from the Daytona testing, great stuff.

I got my renewal package for the infield camping at Chicagoland speedway. Some schedule changes, shorter as no truck series race in September, just nationwide and cup.
Big news is I do not HAVE TO buy 4 adult admissions, that will be a big help on the costs.

If anyone is interested, $120 will buy you an infield ticket for 3 days and 2 nights of unbelieveable fun in the speedway infield. I need to know before mid February.
