IMHO never a more deserving guy. Fought his diabetes, raised a ton of money for kids with the disease. And no matter if you are a Cubs fan or not, the man lived & died every single game with his beloved Cubbies. He was one of the fans only with more heart, more goodwill, and a history of playing well.
He deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. My kind of guy.
