Would someone give me a measurement from bolt center to bolt center on the rear springs while weighted down.
Thanks.

mine's a 68.
center to center is 42 1/2
eye to eye loaded is 56 1/2, best I can do is from the front bolt on the slide a links, no human over 5 is getting under there.

My width is good, at 42 1/2
But my eye to eye is about 55 1/2 loaded (1/8 tank of fuel though) and the sway links are only a 1/4" from contacting the rear panel. Hmmmmm.

Yup, I've got some leftover cherrywood from a recent project, thought I could make a set. :anim35:

If you laminate that Cherrywood to the old springs would you have a "Hybrid"?

Don't restrict youself to just the springs, but you might want to reconsider the cherry wood for the springs. I believe they used Osage Orange for the springs on this one.

You guys might be right. Cherry might not be the best choice to replace the springs with. I also have some palope and some teak leftovers too from other projects. :hitfan:

I needed measurements so I know what I have to work with. I'm going to work on a list.
