 Post subject: J.C. Whitneys 3 spring replacement for mono leafs

well got the rear springs and started to disasemble the old ones so here are some pics
what i started with old worn monos with spring helpers and cheap arse slapper traction bars

after removal and hammered out the old t bolts from spring perches

new whitneys spring in with new u blots (6 inchers from local spring shop) and repainted stock mono shock plate (thanx Jeff), also used the real thin spring pads in a energy suspension kit i bought a long time ago, also used the poly shackle bushings with yes adjustable shackles. Sorry i like the day 2 ass jacked up look!!!

waiting on gm dealer for 3 new j clips and bolts for passenger side as they all 3 broke during removal!!!
then i will post pics of completed job and stance of the car.

Too late now but that local spring shop probably has those J nuts for the front spring mount. That's where I got mine years ago. Looks good from here.

ok i decided to remove the top pad so the spring would set deeper into the perch, and got her all buttoned up and here are the end results!!!

I used adjustable shackles and used the center of 3 holes which raised the car probably an inch or so higher than it would have sat with standard shackles. This required shock extensions which i got from mr gasket.
