Any recommendations on an aftermarket sway bar for someone on a budget. The 42 year old one is a little tired.Eibach drop springs, poly bushings, stock front end(but new),g-mod,fast ratio box,215/60/15 tires.

I purchased the Hotchkis bar for my 69 Camaro and I like it. It is a hollow bar but it might be more than you want to pay.
I put a solid bar 1-1/4" from P-S-T in my 77 Camaro, which I would also recommend. Much cheaper.

Hey Steve I have one from Hellwig. ( I got mine from Summit to save on shipping) I have the 1 1/8" dia but they also have a 1" dia bar as well. Addco makes a nice one to for about the same $ as well. Not super cheap but $40-$50 less than Hotchkiss.

I have the addco, 1 18" I think. Been on there for years. Works good. The finish (kind of gold irridated) is not the best or longest lasting. It came with poly bushings and said to use the stock brackets. It bent the stock brackets up (guess it works pretty well?) and pulled a couple bolts out.

I put in PST greasable brackets and bushings, and upgraded the factory bolts to 3/8" grade 8 from 5/16 grade nothing. I drilled what was left of the stock welded in nuts and used grade 8 nuts and washers, there is access thru the subframe holes to get them in.

Those are two of the ones that I was looking at.The Hellwig and Addco are both at about $160 for 1-1/8" ones, might have to put one of them on my Christmas list.

If I had that much ink I'd be asking for a set for myself(see my other post in wheels/tires)
