I saw this on ebay does the stamp look original and would it be correct for my car? I know most of the rest of parts are not correct but I figure I can use my base plate, metering blocks & choke parts from my incorrectly dated 4053 to build it.

Looks good and can be brought back. We do them all the time. Holley's are my specialty. Carbs were installed at the assm plant so that is a good date and you can go a little further into May if you want. Will need the right base plate and not the replacement style with thick base.
