June 3rd they leave from Muskegon Michigan and head to Champaign Illinois taking I-94 to I-57 South. I-57 is about 5 minutes from my house. I'd like to hook up with them early Monday the 4th, drive to Champaign, check out the festivities and cruise home on the 5th. A long time part of my "bucket list". Any interest guys? It's roughly 2 1/2 hours to Champaign from here. (Midlothian) We could figure out details if there is enough interest. I'm thinking a couple hundred hot rods on the road at the same time would be gearhead nirvana

I would like to do it but June is a long ways off and who knows what will be going on at that time. Keep reminding us Don as the date gets closer!

I went to the evening festivities when the Power Tour came thru Joilet a ways back, definately a bunch of awesome rides. I think it would really be pushing it for me to go this year but If "the stars align"

Thanks for the offer Don! I figured that part of the star alignment would be the easy part. I need to figure out if the financial stars will align.

ROTFLMAO! @ Tom's post. I'm figuring if I do complete it far enough to drive it the world will come to an end. Ya know it's only been 25 years since I last legally drove it. (mar 87). It high on my list of priorities to get it much farther along than it is right now.

We're here to help you Jeff whatever the need is in order to get you on the road again. Maybe plan out a bunch of stuff that needs doing and invite everyone for an all day Saturday BBQ/Camaro re-assembly say in May. Nothing extravagent.............burgers, dogs on the grill. Everyone can bring something for food and drink along with their toolboxes and the willingness to help. Sounds good huh?

I'll put some thought into that suggestion Tom. I don't know how i could organize enough stuff to do right now to make it productive but if it was coming off the rotisorie with the primer and paint done there would be many things that could go together. I'm half thru with fixing the snowblower that I broke last year , if I hurry up with that we won't get any more accumulations of snow that require it's use.
