I need to buy a car cover. Something lightwieght and easy to use and store that will protect my in the garage.
I'm gonna start some work on the jeep that will include some grinding, sanding, and painting, and my Camaro next store needs some protection.

What do you recommend?

I have a light nylon cover that stores in it's own bag that I got from Covercraft(I think). The fine dust will pass thruand rest on your paint, it's worse if it gets wet. I don't believe this is what you want.

My cars have plushweave covers from California car cover co.
I also bought the storage bags so they roll up and stay clean. About $250 each with bags and shipping etc. I have light gray for the white car and black for the black car.
I recently bought cover covers that are kind of like giant condoms to keep "working" stuff off my covers. Because the supersoft plushweaves allow small stuff through them since they allow the car to breathe.
The reason I don't only use the cover condoms is because after a short period the plastic would stick to the metal. I keep my garage around 65 degrees with a maximum humidity of 50%, in a humid garage I'm sure the things would stick like suran wrap lol.
Also bought a few California car dusters to wipe the car off after removing the covers.
I like em.
You are welcome to stop by and see them in person if you are ever down my way.

I also have a fitted California Car cover. Let's the moisture in/out, keeps everything out but the fine dust you can brush away like Tim said with a duster. Only thing I had to do was cut a hole for the antenna. But it ads time to any project so mine has been off all winter this year.

Hey Jim I just bought one from Farm and Fleet for $38. It's not as heavy as the California Car covers, but it's allot heavier than what Walmart carries, and as nice as those $125-$150 covers we looked at at the Goodguys show. I can tell you in the last 3 weeks it has kept the sawdust and fiberglass dust off the car. All I had to do was take the air hose and blow off the cover. I just checked under it one more time just to make sure and not a spec of dust under there.http://www.farmandfleet.com/products/56 ... ccessories

ok, got my car cover.
42 degrees out, gonna clean the garage including pressure washing the floor on both sides. Carol gets this nasty mud / salt puddle behind her car, really yucky when you gotta un;load groceries and stuff. had to buy a new hose, mine are still frozen solid :)

Loaded a bunch of crap in the pickup for a dumpster run, but can't find the keys... :(
