Nuttin to get the chill out of a cold February day better than new tools.
And I bought a bunch of em today. I tihnk it's spring fever.
Regardless, doing Harbor Frieght and Lowes today was big fun.

Here's a shot in the back of the Jeep.
I'll have more pics as I unload.

I sure hope that drill press comes out of the jeep right side up.

  :clink: LMAO! Yup, oddly, english and spanish, no chinese at all.
I took a break to take carol out to dinner, then got back to it.
It went together pretty easy, and it works even. Tomorrow I'll check the accuracy of the laser sight.

My take today includes:
bench vise, 5 1/2", reversible, almost 10" open reversed, I trashed my old one pressing u joints.
Drill Press, floor standing, porter cable 12" throat.
Some wire cup brushes
magnetic pickup tool and extendible mirror
bushing / bearing / seal driver tool.
ball joint separator
couple led flashlights.
seal puller couple big c clamps
drill press vise
bearing separator kit
ait powered grease gun
Good (not harbor frieght) digital caliper
20 pound presurized sandblaster (which I still need to put together.
4 24" 6 ton jackstands. Never needed any this big for the Camaro, but do with the jeep and the bus.

Here's some more pics.

Your right Jim new tools are always fun!
I almost ran up to Milwaukee to go to HF myself today, but decided to stay home and work with the tools I have instead.

almost 10:00 and time to be done.
Here's that new sandblasting machine, all assembled.
My previous blasting device, a $10 siphon feed thingy, with a gun a hose and a bucket, was less than efficient, I can't wait to use this pressurized unit!

I used that new sandblaster today. NICE! My previous blasting tool was this $20 gun and hose thing, you dipped the hose in a bucket of sand and hoped some of it got sucked out and blasted on the work. Clogged constantly, didn't feed smooth, and blasted a raggedy circle an inch in diameter when it worked at all.

The new blaster was onsale for 59.95 at harbor freight. Holds 20 lbs of sand in a pressurized tank. Feeds smooth and continuous, and blasts a sharp edged 1/4" circle, never clogged and just plain worked great.

It turned this

into this

in about 5 minutes.

sure did make a mess though. Before I use it again, I need a plastic sheet to lay down to catch the abrasive, and a mask to keep it out of my nose. The hood was good for the eyues, not the nose. I'll be blowing black for days!

Next investment blast cabinet. I try to take the smaller parts and put in the cabinet. The problem with the cabinet is it's siphon feed like your $20 deal. It takes forever on the really rusty stuff like Control arms.
