OK, what's your thoughts on what this car may be worth on the open market in your economic climate.

1970 Chevelle 2 door coupe. 1 owner, 98500 miles, 307 auto on the column. Has been painted once years ago in the original mid-blue colour. Black interior, hubcaps, 100% rust free CA car and as original as you would expect to find an original owner car.

Call it a barn find or whatever you would like to call it, it's been a daily driver for 40 years and the elderly owners are now parting with it!
Someone has been filling their heads with lotto numbers, but the reality is the car is not on a BJ auction lot and is far from that standard.

I'm interested in your thoughts guys, thanks.

Those lotto numbers might be realistic on a top of the line 1970 performance Chevelle, but not on a base coupe. This car will never bring lotto jackpot returns as a stocker. I'm in JimM's neighborhood but I wouldn't pay his price for that car. I might go $5000.

I think Jim is pretty much on target.

Both myself and my old mate in CA. who is selling the car for the elderly couple are in the $6-10K range.

Sadly some idiot told them it was worth $40K!!!

So now they are stuck and set to sell it for $25K, not a penny less!!!!! Could be a long wait I think.

I appreciate the replies and I'll keep you posted, cheers.

$5,000 with my upper limit being $6,000. To me, the 307 is what would keep me from paying any more than 6K. JMO.

I'm with Jim on this depending on the overall condition of the car. Assuming paint and interior ate a little faided and worn. If it's super clean then maybe $8000-$10000.

Pictures help but I would say 7-10 depending on how straight and condition of the interior.
