OK guys I gotta have some help. My '69 SS will be a stock build but I want to use 14X6 with 4" offset. I personally like the looks of the wide rubber on the ground. Has anyone used the 6" wheels? Do they hit the calipers? Do the tires stay inside the wheel well pretty good? Do you think they would scrub with wider tires? I don't want rocks knocking my new paint off you know . Who sells the best wheels? Has anyone used the brand name "Wheel Vintiques" that Rick's sell?

Please give me some feedback on this so I don't make a $1000 mistake.

You want wider rubber on the ground, and you want to stick with 14x6?
What tires do you want to run?
Isn't the wheel offset something like 3 3/8" already, why have wheels made that are 4"?

Thanks for the reply. I just want 60's maybe a 185-205 but with my past experiance on 7'' and 60's they look like a ballon with a knot in the middle.

I think there is a picture of my car in here somewhere, or maybe just in the video DHH posted. The white car.
It has the tires listed in my sig with 15x7 rallys. Next time I look at it, I'll check the knotted balloon reference..lol

Na just joking. What I was talking about is the tire sticks out way past the edge of the wheel. That's why I wanted to put 6'' wheels to keep the tires even or close to even with the edge of the wheel with a little wider tire.

Yes, the power of the General compelled me. I like the old school look. Cruise your 17/18/19's in my neighborhood and become a favorite customer at the wheel store as well.

This car IS going to have 18s on it, the sooner, the better. I just need to do a few  things to the car first.
